Characteristics of forging adaptability of electric screw press

1. The electric screw press has the characteristics of simple structure and easy maintenance. There are only 40-50 kinds of main parts in a press. The transmission structure is simple and clear. It is easy to repair.

2. The die price of the same forging part is generally lower than that of the hammer forging. This is because the forging impact of the press is small, the pressure bearing surface of the die is small, the fixing mode of the die is usually bolt, the die volume is small, the swallow tail is not needed, and the processing is relatively simple.

3. The upper ejector of slider and the lower ejector of bolster can be designed, and the forging process is more flexible.

4. Half structure die can be used to produce some special forgings.

5. Under the economical forging production mode, the efficiency is no less than that of the forging hammer, because the output energy of the electric screw press is 2-6 times that of the equivalent forging hammer. In most cases, the forging can be formed at one time.

6. The suitable forging range is wider. For aluminium alloy and powder metallurgy forging, because of its low slider speed, it is more suitable for its deformation. It is also widely used in the field of refractory brick pressing.

7. Suitable for cold forging, cold precision pressing and cold straightening.

8. Small vibration in forging process, suitable for working with robots to achieve automation. At present, there are more than ten automatic lines of electric screw press in China, but the forging hammer line has not been heard of yet.

9. Quick die changing device can be used, and automatic worktable can be designed for large press.
