The modern Chinese forging industry was established since 1950s, a lot of forging machinery from former Soviet Union and some forging equipment from former East Germany and Czech entered into China successively, so the production capacity of forging equipment had been formed in a short period in mainland China taking symbol as 60000kN hydraulic press, 25000kN hot forging press and 10T forging hammer, the forging equipment localization started simultaneously. At the end of 1950s and early 1960s, China can produce its owns 10- thousand-tonnage hot forging press and various type of forging hammer. 
After China Reform and Opening Policy, with more chance of international communication, Chinese forging technology of has been improved very quickly, many equipment can be produced locally, part of equipment and a lot of forging parts has been exported and can compete with similar products made in advanced countries, the big size forging parts production capacity is high in the world.
