Factors and solutions for wear of circular saw blades

Circular saw blade is an important consumable which related to the production cost of enterprises, it is serious waste to our enterprises if a circular saw blade just cut 20 square in actual production but it can cut 40 square on the normal circumstances.

The factors that affect the wear of circular saw blades in production and the solutions are listed below：

1. Installation of saw blades

The installation of saw blades must be quality, please inspect it before the equipment works. It is necessary to install the saw blades strictly according to the instructions and keep the saw blade clean, no loose on the installation and steel scraps on the saw blade.

2. Blade protecting block

Must be inspect the blade protesting block per running, this part must be installed before any cutting work.

3. Rotating speed and feeding speed of circular saw

Too fast rotating speed of the equipment will cause excessive wear and tear of the saw blade, and too fast feeding speed will easily cause damage to the saw blade. Rotating speed and feeding speed must be controlled strictly in accordance with the instructions to operate, not because of the urgent production schedule, adjust the equipment to too fast speed.

4. Long term operation of equipment

Because of the busy production, many enterprises' circular saw equipment is running 24 hours a day, which will accelerate the aging of equipment, affecting the life of saw blades, it is recommended that enterprises should let equipment maintenance 2-4 hours a day.

5. The factors on material

Most enterprises do not pay much attention to material cleaning when cutting materials. If the material is too dirty, there is too much dirt or debris, it will certainly affect the life of the saw blade.           

Different materials should be properly selected corresponding saw blades, aluminum saw blades cannot be used to cut stainless steel, or wood saw blades must not be used to cut stone.

6. Parameter setting

is suggested that the equipment should be carefully inspected before the circular saw machine works to avoid the sawing blade life reduction caused by the incorrect setting of parameters, which cannot take a few minutes for enterprise staff, but can effectively reduce costs and improve efficiency.

7. The circular sawing machine is not installed in place.

If the adjustment of the above factors is still unable to solve the problem, this requires timely notification to the equipment manufacturer to send engineers to reinstall and debug.
